It would be a shame to miss this one. Be amazed at what the Vikings set sail in. Well worth the visit and it is an easy walk from there down to the Kon-Tiki museum.

A must for everybody. You can admire two fullfledged Vikingships. You can also look at many Viking objects. Well worth both the time and the money.

This is great exhibit and well worth seeing. It is a fantastic example of viking long ship and a real insight int their ingenuity and culture. This sight is fortunately near other museums as stand alone it does not fill a day. Well worth a visit

It's not a huge museum but there is 2 full boats and the remains of another to impress you. All three rooms have balconies you can go up to see the boats from above and get a better perspective. There are also quite a few artefacts to look at including a burial chamber and cart. It was quite informative all the way round. I do think the Viking Boat Museum in Roskilde, Denmark is a much better museum though.

This is a must see attraction, just a short bus ride from Oslo centre, the viking ships are amazing, don't miss it

Amazing viking ships on display!! Must see for fans of ancient artifacts and historical remains. Museum shows 3 ships from the years 820 to 900, two of which were/are extremely well preserved! Not a huge museum so don't expect to spend a more than an hour or two here, however very enjoyable and worth the trip (by bus) out to the museum at Bygdøy

The Viking longboats here are extremely well preserved, and there is lots of information on these ships- where they were found and the people who were buried inside them. You can climb to some small balconies to view the ships from above. This is a great look into Viking life and history, and probably some of the best preserved longboats you will ever see (intricate carvings in the wood were still preserved!)
