It really hit me home that Vaishnavites and Shaivites are two different sects when I visited this temple.Right from the list of deities, to the crowd - their attire etc, and the overall mood and ambience was strikingly different. Coming from a place where these sect differences are not prominent, the temple visit was an interesting outing. The serene surroundings, the white quaint structures and the overall feel of the place makes me want to visit again

Maintained well, The prasadhams are very good. They can maintain the outsides better. Dustbins a must inside the temple. If you are not from Madras, please call the temple before you go. The timings vary.

During my recent visit, i visited this holy temple. The temple is of Lord Krishna and situated at Triplicane in Chennai. This is one of the most old structure of Chennai also. We visited at night so there was no rush in temple.

We visited this temple on a Sunday. A wedding was in progress with all the accompanying colour and ritual. Restoration is taking place and the gopura is covered with green mesh. The temple tank nearby is not completely polluted.

Historic Temple @ Triplicane.Been there on November '14 to accompany my friend for a prayer. The Temple is highly associated with Great Tamil Poet Bharathiyar. He used to visit the temple regularly and feed the temple elephant "Lavanya". This elephant bet to death... Temple atmosphere will be nice.Points to note:1) Car parking problem will be there if you visit during peak time or during festivals2) Good Restaurants are available around the Temple3) Will be heavily crowded during festivals4) Early Morning time is best time to visit this temple.

Currently undergoing renovation, this divya desam temple contains shrines of Lord Rama, Yoga Narasimhar, Ranganathar, Varadaraja. A Mid sized temple. steady stream of devotees always at the temple. Too crowded on saturdays, crowd management needs to improve and with the renovation in progress, crowd management is very important.20-30 MInutes ideal for visiting this temple. Close to this at a distance of 15 minutes is the Mylapore Kapaleeshwarar Temple.Must Visit when in Chennai

A famous age old temple in Chennai located close the beach, is a temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The main deity is Lord Parthasarathy (Lord Krishna was 'Sarathy', to Arjun's Chariot in Mahabharath). A beautiful temple, often crowded though, lets you experience the divinity and it is a place where people have strong faith of worship. Please try out the 'Puliodarai' and 'Vadai' at the 'Prasadam' stall of the temple. Its really good.
