Didn't see anyone fishing, but my kids had a great time learning to skip stones from their dad. Great afternoon, water a bit fast running for my liking but I had one hand on the toddler the whole time. Beautiful place.

Water was low and the river clearer than my bathtub. Fishing was really challenging - but that is spring steelheading. A beautiful river that is the spawning ground for some of the largest spring steelhead around. Fishing the Kalum is an annual event for me! Don't expect either easy fish or a lot of fish. But hte experience is outstanding!

This river flows out of Kalum Lake near Terrace, it has a fine run of big spring salmon as well as steelhead and the winter steelhead fishing is good. I recommend a guide.

Bar-none the best steelhead fishing I have ever experienced. I even caught a couple on my ultra-light "dolly" set up. I would highly recommend this river to anyone looking for a once in a lifetime experience. Even if you don't land any fish the scenery and tranquility are more than worth the trip.
