northern adventure

We subscribed to a BC Ferries ad inviting us to take advantage of the northern circle route and a self drive adventure - BC ferries helped us with all the reservations - this ship is top class, the surprise was the cruise ship atmosphere that we were experiencing - well done crew - I recommend this travel package by BC Ferries.

I came up on the Northern Expedition which was a new ship...however I found this one a bit better. This was mainly due to the cabins not being right out on the deck. Overall, an awesome experience on board!

We took the ferry to Skidegate in the daytime, about 7 hrs to cross. The lounges and restaurant were comfortable and the food was adequate. Of course, there is not much to see after leaving Prince Rupert, but we did see signs of orcas.

Even though its in wrong location on map, this is a BC ferries vessel that travels in summer. Its a nice ship, but it would be better suited in Mediterranean or some calm sea. It was never built for pacific ocean and it shows. On a nice day, its a great ride. Way too expensive though.

We booked one of the forward facing cabins and it was more than worth the money, giving us a place to stash our gear, comfy beds for a nap, a flat screen TV, an amzing view of both sides of the passage and a great fruit basket.
