the gardens here were stunning. all beautifully manicured, with the nicest topiary works. Mornings were absolutely perfect around here, just sitting in the cool crisp fresh air and meditating. Walking through the stunning old tress, one is surrounded by inquisitive little squirrels and flowers blooming all around.

It is a beautiful little garden, part of the huge Battlefields Park. If you visit the park, make your route through this garden, it is worth it.

This garden is only a rectangular path with flowers at the edge of it. In the middle of the rectangle, there is a statue of Joan of Arc. That's it. Of course, there are park benches where you can sit, but since it is a bit lower than the rest of the Plains of Abraham, there is not much to look at. Would not make a detour to see this, but would recommend a walk on the Plains of Abraham, so if you are already there, you can have a look...

I walked to the park from Chateau du Frontenac. It is a beautiful garden-like park. A wonderful spot to stop and daydream.

What fun! We visited when the sunken garden was all decked out for Hallowe'en. Ghouls and ghosts from the history of the region adorned the garden beds…even ghosts in the surrounding trees…And of course a gibbet…like the "Cage of la Corriveau" in which the body of Marie-Josephte Corriveu was displayed…hung from a big branch above...

The Joan of Arc garden is beautiful and when we visited it was close to Halloween and the garden had been decorated appropriately. Around the garden there were plaques detailing ghostly and macabre stories from Quebec City and matching visual displays. A lot of fun!

This is a beautiful garden. Even better it was decorated for Halloween while we were there! They had interesting tidbits of information around the walkway - explaining different people who were relevant to the area and folklore. It was crowded while we were there. And there was a long line of families for a train ride around the park. I imagine it is very peaceful in the off-season!

The statue itself is nice, but then they placed it in a sunken garden! Lovely! We were just there, so it was decorated for Fall/Halloween. It was so pretty and festive! The hop on-hop off bus goes by it. Our driver stopped for a minute so people could get a picture.

We rode past this statue on our horse and buggy ride. It is very striking and was a gift to the city. Our driver retold us the story of Joan of Arc and it was inspiring to hear of such a strong woman hero and to see her acknowledged by this strong likeness on her mighty steed.

Lots of varieties of plants and the contrast of colours makes for some great photos. It is not a big as I expected, so did not take long to see.

I picked a super time to visit Quebec City. The weather was great and flowers were still in bloom. This park is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the visit

The gardens were in full Fall bloom. Great stop in the overall park. We were there in September but the gardens were still in fantastic bloom.

We loved this park. The park is beside the Plains of Abraham. We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park and relaxed in the shade on a bench while watching the horses and carriages going by. Great location and you can also wander through the Plains of Abraham which provides a lovely view of the river.

This sunken garden in the western edge of the Planes of Abraham is awesome. Very well maintained - it's moving to experience.
