benalla migrant camp photographic exhibition

If you are looking for a different kind of place, and if you love photos, you should visit this quirky unique exhibition housed in one of the former Benalla Migrant Camp's accommodation huts. You can spend a good hour here, given it is not too hot a day (no air-conditioning). You can browse the photos, documents and many items and on the day I visited one of the former residents was there to answer questions. That was pretty amazing. I was surprised to find out that over 60,000 European Migrants made this place their home between 1949-1967, after first being processed at Bonegilla.
