    基本杜塞尔多夫标志性的建筑都在河边了,白色的灯塔和教堂,奇特的现代建筑。。很多人坐船观光,很美!更多的人在岸边看夕阳,晚霞,赞!

This a great neighborhood. There are delicious bakeries, quaint shops and restaurants. It is worth a visit. Less crowded than Altstadt but certainly worth the time to take it. I suggest getting a cup of coffee or having a beer and sit outside and watch people go by after you have taken in the shops. I had lunch there and loved watching the retired locals hang out and catch up and others on lunch break. Really nice area.

If you want to see what genuine pre-war Dusseldorf looks like I recommend the streets of Oberkassel. Very accessible by Tram across the Rhine. Lovely architecture, in particular Bormers Strasse, Glucksberger Strasse and Steffers Strasse. The buildings are originals. This areas also demonstrates how good the reconstruction work is in the war damaged areas.

Beautiful buildings and very good places to eat and drink. It is on the opposite side of the Rhine from the old town and shops. It is where the well off live and where there is an air of sophistication.A pleasure to visit and a favourite place to work for some of the prestigious company offices located there,

Oberkassel lies on the left side of the Rhine, which seem to have prevented it from being distructed during the war (only 20 bombs fell). As a consequence, this part of the town has conserved its character from the turn of the century. Even some Jugendstil jewels are there. Take the tram to Barbarossaplatz and then exit to the left (coming from the centre). Just walk around the streets and have a look at the nice buildings. On return, you can have a wine at Saita Vini. If it is summer, there will be tables at the square. If you are hungry go for the Schiff Ahoi, located 700 m away at Belsenplatz. It is the most value for money place to eat in Oberkassel.

Located outside of Dusseldorf, Oberkassel is a charming and busy town. There a many shops, restaurants, biergartens. The town homes lining the streets are different..flowers every where..bicycles and little cars are everywhere! There is a nice bike and walkway along the Rhine River. We lived here for 2 years and I loved this place!

once you are in the altstadt you see the center but when you cross the river you go in the part where it is trendy to live. Obercassel is expensive for flats an houses but nice and somewhat more quiet.

Having lived here for 2 months, It's true that the inhabitants of Oberkassel are - in general - snooty. Prices of residences are sky high simply because of its proximity to the Rhein and Düsseldorf Altstadt. The Jugendstil architecture - of what remained after WW2 - is impressive though, and in Spring/Summer, the "Allee" is resplendent with trees, well-heeled people sitting out at a few nice cafes. Take a stroll around the neighbourhood & admire the buildings - it's the only thing to do here.

The front row on both sides of the bridge have beautiful houses and larger parks right in front of the river. High society seems to live here.

I just love it! It is beautiful, stylish with numerous little independent shops, restaurants and Cafes.

Do NOT move here. People think they are better than the rest of the world. I am so happy that I could leave after living here for 2 1/2 years. Still lots of good restaurants and bars with normal people as well.

Great little neighborhood, lots of incredible restaurants, and only 5 minutes from Altstadt

In Oberkassel scheint die Zeit manchmal stehen geblieben zu sein. Die schönen alten Häuser am Rhein, die verwinkelten Strassen und die kleinen Geschäfte und Restaurants laden gradezu ein.
