The park is not very big, but you can still easily spend a few hours walking around there. There are a few trails going through the woods, with many interesting sights along them. There are 2 large enclosures with deer and wild boars, and you can feed them through the fence. They come very close to you, all you have to do is reach out your hand. For families with kids I would say it is possible to spend a whole day there. They have one of the best and largest playgrounds in the city, as well as bird observation points and info planks with information about trees and animals all around the park. The best part about it is that the entrance (and parking!) are completely free! Also, unlike other similar parks in Germany, they let you bring in your own food and drinks and have a picnic, even tough they have a kiosk of their own inside.

Literally, if want a great playground best in the area, woods to walk or cycle around, animals like hogs and deer then this is 1,6 square kilometre place is for you.

We live a few Km from here and enjoy taking the kids to watch the pigs and deer. There's a good kids playground and, when it's dry and warm, a little wooden house where you can get a Pizza and a beer. The main restaurant is closed right now though. The nature walk is nice but not exactly thrilling for parents! Good bus connection and car park but I wouldn't drive more than 20 minutes to get here. It's not exactly a tourist spot; more a place where the locals will come when the sun shines, and then it gets busy!

If you are looking for a place to go to on a Sunday (when everything is closed), Wildpark Venusberg is a great choice! The entrance is free but you can buy food to feed the animals and help sustain the park. There are not much animals there but they are really really sweet!There is a playground for children and a lot of space to go for a walk with your dog. You can also go for a run in the forest (the only thing you must consider is that it is really crowded on weekends). There's no proper toilet, (only a portable one) and no place to wash your hands after feeding the animals. Otherwise, a perfect place to spend your day at.Also, there is a bus to and from the main station every 30 minutes.

Everything shuts down on Bonn on Sundays and public holidays so I decided to head to the Wildpark when I was in Bonn for work over a public holiday. It's about a 40 min bus ride (bus 603) from the Bonn Hbf. Get off at the last stop (Waldau). There is a large wooden playground which young children will probably love. If you like walks in the woods, there are quite a lot of trails to walk on too.The highlight for me was the deer! They are in sprawling enclosures and if you are lucky, you get to see them up close if they come up to the sides of the enclosure. Otherwise you will need a camera with a really good zoom function. There's also a wildboar enclosure where you see the wildboar up close.There is a small eatery there close to the entrance too which is useful if you are lazy to pack your own picnic basket.Best park of this is that it is free! Besonders für Kinder eine sehr schöne Ausflugsmöglichkeit. Die Wildschweine und das Dammwild sind die schönste Attraktion. Und dann kann man dort natürlich gut spazieren gehen. Sollte man gewesen sein!

Прекрасное место для прогулки! Природа! Свежий воздух! Около левад с животными установлены автоматы для продажи подкормки. Дети были в восторге от кормления оленей!

Понравилось все, особенно непосредственное общение с природой и животными, живущими на больших лесных площадях за неприметным забором, включая несколько выводков кабанов. Кормить животных формально нельзя, но мало кто этого правила придерживается. Есть еще преотличнейшая детская площадка и неплохой ресторан с великолепными пирожными.

Der Kottenforst mit dem Wildpark Venusberg ist die grüne Lunge von Bonn. Der Wildpark mit seinen Bestand lokalen Wildes, die anliegenden Spielplätze, das Restaurant mit angrenzenden Naturhaus laden zum verweilen ein. Ein Spaziergang durch den herbstlichen Laubwald ist ein Erlebnis.

zona ideal para pasear con niños y perros, ademas tiene una zona cerrada donde viven jabalies y ciervos, los niños y mayores suelen llevarles restos de comida y disfrutar viendolos.

Im Kottenforst findet man in der Nähe der Waldau mehrere Gehege mit Schwarzkitteln, Dam- und Rotwild. Mit etwas Glück kann man erleben, dass ein stattlicher freilebender Hirsch sich zu den eingesperrten Artgenossen gesellt. Pech für ihn, dass ein Zaun sie trennt.

Für Kinder natürlich besonders toll. Die Tiere können sich frei in ihren großzügigen Gehegen bewegen.Schöne Wanderwege, für Kinder auch ein schöner Lehrpfad, wo man auch als Erwachsener Spaß haben kann und etwas lernt.Der Spielpatz an der Waldau ist bisher stets super angekommen.

Auf dem sehr großen Spielplatz haben Kinder viele Moeglichkeiten zu spielen. Nach nur einem kurzen Spaziergang kommt man zu den Wildgehegen. Wildschweine und Rotwild sind dort zu sehen. Immer wieder bei den Kindern gerne gesehen.

Auch ohne Kinder fanden wir die Parkanlage ein tolles Ausflugsziel. Auf jeden Fall sehenswert und zu empfehlen. Für Kinder natürlich ein Highlight, mit den Wildgehegen und die Barfuß-parcours.

Der Wildpark ist sehr schön, Kinder können sich austoben, man sieht viel Wild, kann dort gut wandern.
