In the heart of the Jewish residential area was the Mikvah situated (ritual bath, "Jewish Baths") on the site of the later Town Hall (present historic town hall) as well as the synagogue with schoolyard and bakery. These Jewish ritual baths were located near the synagogue with a separate entrance from the Kramgasse built early 14th century as a 12,80 meter deep shaft divided by 3 vaults on 3 floors on top of each other, the bathingroom itself has the shape of polygonal chalice capitals with calyx shaped curved mandrels in the corners of the stairs. Of such Jewish Baths only a few species have been preserved.
