May 6th, 1895 its cornerstone was laid. During the tower renovation in 2009 in the ball of the towercross a document roll with a deed in Latin was found: signed by the client, former pastor and supervisory engineer Josef Dickopf and foreman Carl Rudolph and a deed of October 9th 1897 with the names of the carpenters who built the tower cross, some coins in the period currency and a newspaper “Coblenzer Volkszeitung, October 8, 1897”. The buildingworks were completed in 1897, on May 16th, 1898 a solemn consecration was held by Bishop Dr. Felix Korum from Trier. 19 July 1944 heavy bombing in the Koblenz’ southern suburbs, the church was so badly affected which made Eucharistic celebrations impossible: celebrations were held in the youth centre and Anthony Monastery, in summer it was held in the monastery garden. After the reconstruction, on October 24, 1948, Holy Mass was celebrated again. The church has a 93m high tower. Daily opened untill 6 o' clock.
