I visit Museo del Tesoro della Basilica di San Pietro due to a time excess. The price payed at entrance is a little big for what I saw inside. So, I recommend to visit only if you have an excess time.

...to see all the gifts given to the Vatican. Rich people buying away their sins with gold and diamonds. But the museum is well organised,

Rome and Vatican is all about history and art. And this museum just adds to the beauty of it. Sheer number of arts in Rome is mind-numbing. Make a point to visit this.

This museum inside Basilica contains church ornaments, statues, papal mitres and various objects, usually gifts of kings or princes. If you have a guide, he may be able to help you better. But worth a visit!

The museum is filled with much great history and art that one can not help but admire all in one setting. Definitely a must when in Rome and best if joined with the complete tour that includes museums and Basilica. *There are usually some tour guides that offer a tour package and I believe it is very well worth it to have everything explained to you by a professional.*

Great little museum, 7 euros entrance fee, not allowing to take photos. Rich collections of holy items and wardrobs. Very impressive!

This is a journey on its own....visiting this marvelous place is like taking a tour of the chronicle itself. So one can guess that its not going to be a few hours visit. You need to have ample time in your hands to do justice to this place...its huge so you need to walk a lot and for that you need to make sure you are most comfortably shoed.I suggest you take an audio guide and a map that'll help you in understanding what you see.One suggestion that everyone else will give is do book your tickets online beforehand to avoid standing for hours in the ques.

In the Vatican, Basilica is most exciting place to visit. One can see colorful dooms and architect of ancient times and many statues which are unique and attractive to look and fantastic to admire. One can take hundreds of picture inside and outside the Basilica. Watch for the guards who are dresses in beautiful uniform. The tour could take anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours. But the place is exciting that it is hard to leave. I cannot do justice to describe in words what one can see in person.

This is the place where you are strongly advised to book tickets in advance, for example, the Vatican's official site. Saves you queuing, maybe in hot heat. In addition, you need a lot, really a lot of time. And good shoes! There is much, much more to see than you ever could imagine. Wander around and look at the privacy before running to Sistine Chappel. Take with you a little something to put in the mouth and something to drink. In the museum there is of poor quality and the small restaurant.

Michelangelo! Enough said...The grandeur of the Basilica is beyond words and belief. Whether it's the resting place of Pope John Paul II or Saint Peter, you will be amazed at it all. It's very ornate and breathtaking. Everywhere you turn there is a masterpiece. It can only be outdone by the Sistine Chapel...still in awe!

If you are going to Vaticano - this museum you really can't miss. It's incredible how many richness you can find under one roof:) All the holy objects , which you can't see in any other place, really leaving you with a strong impression.

A museum containing literally a treasure of inestimable value, works of art, located inside the Saint Peter Basilica, is accessed through the main entrance, some canonical security controls and immediately begins the visit, an excellent experience from the artistic value unparalleled. A journey of about 1 hours but it is possible to stop to admire the works all the time you want the view, therefore, can last for 2 hours or more.

Rather you are religious or not, this church has to be on your must see bucket list. The church is a treasure trove of art work by all the famous Italian Renaissance artists. Bellini's High Alter, Michelangelo's Dome and his Pieta are must see's. Plan plenty of time for this no charge magnificent site and take your camera! Note: If you are not Catholic, I would suggest avoiding the days that the Pope makes appearances (most Wednesday's) and holidays like Easter, Christmas and All Saints Day.

There is so much to see. The art is amazing. Just beautiful. The ceilings are impressive as well as the sculptures.
