palmse manor and open-air museum

It charges 6€ for entry, but the walks are nice and the history of the family owners of the manor shown as it was at the beginning of the 20th century is really interesting as well. I especially liked the old kitchen.

They have manor and many out-buildings, gardens. Just for browing you need a 1-2 hours. Just have a coffee. Worth the visit. Nice staff.

Palmse Manor park is situated in Lahemaa National park. The actual manor house is quite simply decorated, the highlight being the kitchen with it's open fire. It was a shame there wasn't much information about the house and the family (there was a book in one of the rooms but I found it difficult to read and would have preferred some information boards). The highlight is the beautiful gardens, lakes and out houses. It was lovely walking outside and exploring the gardens. The views are gorgeous. I spent about 2 hours there and it is definitely worth a trip if you're in the area. I would note that we couldn't find anywhere to eat/have a coffee but there is a village shop by the car park. Also there used to be a visitor's centre on the site but this has been relocated which is a shame.

Palmse Manor is a country estate about 50 miles from Tallinn. It was a gem set in a large garden with a lake and a variety of surrounding buildings and outhouses. The house itself was small but simply and interestingly furnished. We spent an engaging hour here. Our only downside was that the signposting to the manor could be improved

An amazing property with lots to see. Be sure that you slot enough time so that you can wander the property to see the many out-buildings, gardens, have lunch or just a coffee. Well worth the visit. Ask for a map/folder on the way in.

In inverno un luogo tranquillo e freddo seppure col suo fascino. D'estate un'esplosione di colori, fuori e vita. Il complesso ospita matrimoni, congressi ed eventi aziendali e il suo parco è aperto a tutti. La residenza principale è un piccolo museo con mobili d'epoca (nulla di che), bellissimi i giardini ed il frutteto.All'interno del complesso vi è il Tutist Information Centre del Lahemaa National Park con un'interessante ed interattiva esposizione.

En väldigt vacker byggnad med tillhörande sidobyggnader. Med en fin trädgård. Ta lång tid på dig att titta på alla fina detaljer inne i huset.

Sehr schöne Schlossanlage, die von dem Reichtum dieser Region zeugt. Die Verbindungen nach Deutschland (Preussen) sind allgegenwärtig.Man sollte sich nicht nur auf die Zimmer im Schloss beschränken, sondern auch die ehem. Schiede und die nähere Umgebung erkunden. Es ist erstaunlich, was hier alles so wild wächst. - Übrigens: Gegenüber vom Eingang am Parkplatz befindet sich ein uriger Dorfladen, den man fast nicht wahrnimmt.

Одна из самых красивых мыз, которую удалось увидеть в парке Лахемаа. Дворец оставляет очень приятные впечатления как благодаря интерьеру, так и потому что нет кучи следящих бабушек и туристов и можно соприкасаться со стариной. Мыза имеет красивый парк, пруд с уточками и лес (примерно 3 Га). В лесу проложены пешеходные маршруты, так что если есть время - обязательно погуляйте!

Découverte et sérénité....la beauté du parc et le charme fusse t il désuet ou suranné de la chambre...A ne pas manquer la visite du manoir et le petit musée y attenant.

Dés le hall, on n'a pas le sentiment d'entrer dans un musée mais de pénétrer dans une maison habitée. Comme si on revenait une centaine d'années en arrière. Les meubles, les photos, les tapis, les vêtements, ...tout nous plonge dans la vie intime des propriétaires des lieux. Et cet étonnant ancêtre de nos "juke box"....Et ce superbe parc...Et ce jolie petit lac.....
