Well worth a visit with the history of St Paul and the shipwreck. Wonderful interior, very majestic.

We were fortunate to visit this beautiful church on the occasion of the festival of the celebration of Saint Paul's shipwreck which took place on the 10th.of February. The church was beautifully decorated inside and out.It was filled to capacity with worshippers and tourists alike.Outsiide a band played while throngs of people filled the street. As the band processed.streamers were thrown from balconies and the pealing of the bells rang out giving a most moving atmosphere. But,when all the festivities ended it was nice to sit in the quiet ambience of this lovely church/

A beautiful old church set in a side street in Valletta. Exquisitely decorated. Worth comparing with the nearby Co-Cathedral of St John.

Felt the need to write another review! We visited in Nov 2013 and we loved the church that much we got married in it the following October on our 10th anniversary. Fr. Alex is such a lovely man and was so accomodating to us and for allowing us to get married there. The church looked amazing on the day and the service was lovely. The sacristan Jose was very friendly and helpful.A must see for anyone visiting Malta! Can't wait to visit Malta again. Will definitely be visiting for St Paul's Festival held in February in the next year or two as the church is the focal point for the festival.

This is one of Malta's most significant churches. It typifies magnificent baroque art, supported by the locale. The church was built and beautified by the merchants and inhabitants of Valletta. This is a jewel beyond belief. It is a church, not a museum, but the works of art are museum grade. This means, spend a lot of time there, ask many questions and look carefully. You will not be spoon fed. Do not miss this church.

Interesting reminder of the island's connection with St Paul. Ornate and somewhat overdone (especially in the area of alleged saintly relics).

Your jaw will drop at the beauty, colours, gilt frescos and statues. Sometimes the lighting is not doing the interiors justice especially that you are allowed to take photos. Ask for the lighting and the guardians will give you a limited time slot. The celebration is in February for this special place. No charge for entry, but buy a postcard or two or make a donation. After the Mosta Dome, this is the best "must not miss".

Almost accidentally found this gem. Was walking up the street and got drawn in by the 'Malta's Greatest Secret' sign out front. Incredible church full of treasures. Wish I had known more of the history before visiting.

The festival of St Pauls shipwreck is a wonderful occasion and a wonderful spectacle to see. The church is beautiful and adorned with magnificent silver artefacts.

Lovely hidden away find. Very interesting and quirky. Really hope they get the funding to continue renovating.

Only got to see this one briefly. Not quite as breathtaking as St Johns Cathedral but is still a beautiful church.

Some of the most glorious Baroque work imaginable. A little off the beaten track but so special to this island.

Worth popping into this rambling church hidden between houses and shops. Too dark and in need of maintenance but some great decoration, paintings and artifacts.

Our driver mistakenly took us to the wrong st Paul's, it wasn't English speaking but a kind parishioner gave us directions to the Othe st Paul's that was English speaking. Luckily we had plenty of time to walk to the other church. Beware of the shoes you choose, the roads are cobble stones and steep inclines are the terrain

When visited in mid-January there was restoration being carried out on the ceiling inside and painting with scaffolding going on outside. Whether because of this - but opening times seemed somewhat erratic but church usually accessible late afternoon. Others have explained about the St Paul's wrist-bone relic and the portion of column on which he was executed. Like many such churches - it can be rather dark inside but still worth a visit.
