mcgonigal's pub

This pub has an upscale atmosphere coupled with a hearty menu filled with quality selections for a fair price. The wait staff is pleasant and efficient. The menu has some Irish themed choices. My wife and I have dined here a half-dozen times and have always had an excellent experience. Sometimes, the place can be a bit oud, but that comes with the turf when it is filled to capacity.

Great atmosphere. Food is consistently good... with lots of traditional Irish fare. Everyone loves the onion soup. People are friendly. Bands on some nights.

The beer was cold!! The boxty's were great!! The corned beef was very good as I tried some of my wife's. I had the full Irish breakfast which was really good!!! We would definitely stop here again.

The menu has something for everyone form burgers to traditional Irish fare. The truffle fries are unusual and delicious! Walking distance from the train so it's also easy to get to. A little more expensive then I though it should be for the food, but you can usually find a coupon in the local papers.

Good Irish food. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also late night. An extensive selection of tab beers. Lots of TV's. A good place to go if you are interested in European soccer (football).

Food is ok, you do not seem to get alot for the price compared to other local options. The beer is good and atmosphere is decent. The food selection is good, but portions are not in line with price in my opinion.

A former bank, this Irish bar serves up delicious food in a casual pub like atmosphere. The menu offers a few traditional Irish dishes as well as more American style fare with Irish names, such as the Kilkenny Burger (highly recommended), Curragh Chicken Sandwich, and the Irish Naches. They also offer a number of gluten free starter and entree items.There is plenty of seating, along with a private room for roughly 8 people, and a few secluded tables upstairs that overlook the main bar area. There are numerous Ireland related artifacts that adorn the decor and rich wood trim surrounds many places, and for the sports minded 3 TVs to keep you entertained with soccer, football, rugby, or whatever is playing.I enjoyed McGonigal's Pub but feel it is more of a sports bar atmosphere with an Irish theme rather than a traditional Irish Pub. Try it for yourself, either way I would still recommend it.
