bohart museum of entomology

This is a fun place to take children and adults who are interested in walking sticks, butterflies, etc. Great small venue; nothing to dislike....a great tiny museum with hours open to the public.

This is actually a working entomology lab, that lets visitors in. Staff are going about their business while you look around the displays, which are not very numerous or extraordinary. Nonetheless, it is OK for a short visit with kids; not much to touch though. A few live spiders and insects, but mostly, fixed (dead) material.

I took my grandchildren to see the insect exhibit & as we left my 4 year old grandson said, "Nana, that was awesome!" Very gratifying for a grandma & what better endorsement does one need!

apparently small museum but very reache of collections of many entomologic species especially butterflies. Scientists inside are really kind and always available to guide peoples inside the museum where you can also find many strange gifts and tshirts. VERY GOOD
