Another beautiful gem in our Sierra Foothills. A place rediscovered and restored to it's original, historic grandeur. A wonderful place that we are so lucky to have here in Nevada County.

Great to see this beautiful old house and property. It was not open but we happened to be able to walk though while someone was looking at it for a wedding. The winter months are quite cold in the house. I would enjoy going through the house in the spring or fall. I like the history of Julia Morgan and her architectural history so this was very interesting to me.

We go here every Saturday for Farmers Market. We have loved watching the slow restoration of this beautiful example of Julia Morgan's work during the gold rush era. It really is a step back in time. Kudo's to the conservancy for their dedication to the restoration of this beautiful home.
