barona 1/8 mile dragstrip

Barona 1/8 Drag Strip or "Barona Drags" as they call it, takes you back to the days when hot rods ruled the streets of SoCal. It's laid back, family friendly and good fun on Saturday or Sunday during one of their periodic events. You'll see every conceivable kind of gas burner lining up for trip down the 1/8 mile strip. Everything from mini dragsters with 12 year olds piloting them, to fully blown 750 HP custom mustangs to Funny Cars to a late model Corvette that some dude just purchased right off the show room floor. Parking and the entrance fee are one in the same. Usually $10. There is a food stand with snacks - hamburgers, sodas, water, ice cream etc. Don't forget ear plugs. It is loud.
