van ruiten family vineyard

We came to this winery after a friend recommended it. Overall it was a good visit. The wines are good. The tasting room was nice, the pours were small though compared to other wineries.

A terrific place! Great sevice and good conversation. The wines are well made and one of the older vineyards in Lodi. Well worth the visit.

We visited the Van Ruiten Winery & tasting room during a 3-day visit to Lodi. It’s on the southwest side of Lodi right on California Route 12. The somewhat small, but very welcoming tasting area was staffed by a very friendly and informative young woman. In addition to information about the wines we tasted and Van Ruiten in general, she also offered much information on Lodi and the overall region. The nominal tasting fee is waived if you buy a glass or bottle of their wine. We purchased two bottles of their 2011 VRV Old Vine Zinfandel to take with us to share with friends later in our extended trip.
