Frist enjoyed this walk two years ago with a guide. This year, with drought and many improvements in environment (hospitality to species), it was a totally different experience. Instructive regarding the sensitivity of nature to intrusion and/or nurture by people.

For some very easy walking and nature-watching right on the valley floor, the OMP is a gem. The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy is gradually restoring this preserve to all native habitat and vegetation. That process will take years but this property is lovely now with easy car access right on Highway 33 just north of the high school.
