It is great to climb to the top of the hill and enjoy a great view of the Bay. It also has a dog park for dog lovers. The park is pretty small but charges a fee. Tips: winter might not be the best time to visit as the lakes are dry.

I've lived in Santa Clara County since 1990 and only discovered this park last month - at a Chihuahua Meetup. It really is a hidden gem.It's currently looking a bit bleak because of the drought and the lake is well below its optimal level.However, still very good for dogs, walks and nice views.

Awesome - has it all, has a lake, bunch of ducks (& poop!), a canopy and several picnic areas, great city views, horse rides, jogging trails and what not!Can't miss this one in Milpitas!

This is a really nice park and sandy wool is probably one of the better places in the county for trout fishing. They have a kids day every year where volunteers will show young children how to fish for free which is really great way to get the kids off the video game systems and do something outdoors that is fun and relaxing.

Ed Levin offers great views of the Bay area. It is also a very nice park for walking and also relaxing by the lake. They also have a very nice dog park.

This 1,541 acre park in Milpitas has a nice lake for picnics, fishing and play areas. It also has a complex trail system for hiking as well as horse back riding.On a nice day we have gone here for hikes as well as picnics. It is also a wonderful place to watch hang gliding - as it is excellent place to go hang gliding. We have had work friends from Germany who had heard about the area - and came here and did hang gliding. They said it was an amazing experience.We have hiked Monument Peak here. Once on top we enjoy seeing the amazing sights of San Francisco Bay and Santa Clara Valley area. The views are amazing.We enjoy also watching the many dogs who love to come here as it has an excellent dog park. Although not on the property, Spring Valley Golf Course borders it. The entire area is very scenic.There are two parking sections for the park - many lots surround the lake. There is another section across the road from Spring Valley Golf Course. It is one and the same park.
