Go in the summer when it's sunny and the days are long. Stop off at Crescent Lake for a really tasty lunch.

The drive around the Olympic Peninsula Loop Drive is worth the time. Too many people think it will take too long. If you plan well, you can make the trip and see many sites while you are on the road. There are many places to stop and look at the Pacific Ocean and to walk on the beach. Pick a non raining day and you will have stories to tell. The only caution is to be aware that some folks drive fast as they are covering miles and not site seeing like you will be. A wonderful trip.

This is a stunningly beautiful drive through a truly unique environment, a rain forest that is not in the tropics. Be careful and if it's cold be on the lookout for black ice. We hit a patch and ended up mere inches from going off a cliff backwards.

Incredible sunset views of the ocean. Get there in the middle of the week if possible (Monday or Tues) and stay at least three nights, scoping out the best camp site and move into it when it comes open, then stay longer. Blackberry bushes ready to pick in late summer, early fall.

So much to see and do. Very different experiences from rainforest to beach to beautiful lakes. Worth taking 3 days to do this loop.

We drove the entire loop with some intermittent rain. Loved the waterfall. Enjoyed the short but steep walk to the large cedar tree you can stand in. Does have section of dirt road but worth the trip.

During our 14 day driving vacation from Texas to Seattle and back we chose to visit Olympic National Park during one day. Well, wished we had discovered that the loop drive is only the beginning. To really see the best the park has to offer one must drive in and out of the park at several junction points. For instance the impressive Hurricane Ridge is 17 miles one way off the loop drive. Then the same goes for HOH Rain Forest, Sol du Lac, Rialto Beach (30 miles one way) or Ruby Beach (just off Hwy 101). I highly recommend at least 2 or 3 night stay taking drives to main sights each day.

Olympic National park is Awesome!! In one day you can see Redwood forests, glaciers, mountains, beach's and a rain forest. we spent the most enjoyable day driving, walking around the park. The only downside was we hadn't allowed for the huge size and had no where near enough time .

Much like my 101 review, this is a beautiful drive for daytime only. Lots of curves, beautiful forest views and beach views. Opportunities to pull over and explore. Take this to go to the gorgeous Cape Flattery. Cape Flattery is a short and easy hike with breathtaking views. It will not disappoint!

lakes, rainforest, summer, winter, wild beaches, delicious salmon daily, rustic and luxurious, Alps-like mountain scenery, friendly people. Whatever you love in nature, it's here. A trip I won't forget anytime soon.

This is a wonderful drive if you love two lane roads, forest scenery and driving around very large pretty lakes.

A really great trip - the Olympic Peninsula is just beautiful, and there is so much to see. This was our second trip and we were happy to spend more time and see everything. Highly recommend.

WE gave ourselves 3 days to putter about the ONP and should have planned for more. The diversity of this great park and the drive was delightful. We will most certainly return

We drove the loop in 1 day from seattle but wish we had more time as was absolutely fantastic and would have liked to do more of the hikes

We did the west half of the loop. Most of the road is only one lane, with big turns and up and downs, condition of some of the pavement is poor. Nice road trip in general.
