The house is truly beautiful and with a real sense of the past; the research done to restore the house to period accuracy seemed meticulous and extremely impressive. All our questions elicited more detail from our enthusiastic, warm tour guide. She really seemed to believe in what she and her colleagues are doing at the museum. Our visit was a pleasure.

If you like touring furnished historic homes when traveling, this is definitely a must-see. You can actually walk through the rooms, not just see things from afar, and the volunteer staff is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

The theme was wedding dresses and they had interesting stories and dresses from the late 1800s to the 1970s of local women. The house was Italianate in design and they had tons of stuff to check out. We really enjoyed our visit and even decided to join NARM while there.... the North American Reciprocal Museum pass for our family. It will give us free admission to other museums across the US. If you like old houses and museums, check it out!

This wonderfully restored home was filled with bridal gowns from past Walla Walla weddings. This was a special exhibit now finished, however there is much else to see in this lovely home. The stories from the docent gave an interesting insight into the Walla Walla of days gone by and the extended Kirkman family.

This museum is a must see for history lovers. The staff has worked hard to lay out the museum very delightfully. It is fun to sit and imagine the Kirkman family as they went about their day in the home. We spent hours there!

We enjoyed the exhibit of historic wedding dresses and photos, including items from weddings of Kirkman family members.

I have previously been here before for school, but I got to go just to use the location as scenery for homecoming pictures and I feel like I really got to know the local history. Its informational but so real because the items are old and you walk through it like a real house. Definitly recommend.

Touring this house is an excellent way to learn a little bit about the history of the area and its people. The house has been restored with great care, and the tour guide explains its history beautifully.

My wife and I decided to take a break from wine tasting and stopped here for a tour. Our tour lasted an hour and was very thorough and informative.

The museum has been beautifully restored and the docents are loaded with answers to questions you probably don't even think of. I've been here several times and have always been impressed by the beauty of the treasures found here.

Kirkman House Museum offers a detailed look into the Victorian era through the lives of an early Walla Walla faimly. The house is an architectual delight and the volunteers are extremely friendly and quite knowledgable. This is a must see when your are in Walla Walla. I like this place so much that I have become a member to support it and obtain free admision for my next visit.

We went on a tour of this house on a Sunday right when it opened for the day. There are about 10 rooms in the house, and tells about how life was more then a century ago in Walla Walla. It costs 5 dollars a person for the tour, but I think it is definitely worth it. You can take a self guided tour, but I would suggest letting the staff there take you on a tour, they can tell you a lot of interesting facts about the house that you cant get just from the self guided tour. We spent about an hour and a half there on the tour, looking over all the items there. It is a good way to spend a few hours and learn about some history.
