Excellent talent, great singers, especially Orion. However, this is a Rapid City venue and production which means it is a little amaturish. Contray to some other comments, this is not a "big city" kind of production.

I had the most amazing experience at the Potter Family Theater. I am still in awe that this is available in Rapid City, South Dakota. Seems like something you'd have to drive to Denver for... I have lived here for 2 years and now that I've finally gone, I know I will go much more often and will tell any friends travelling to visit that it's a MUST!We had our company holiday party at the theater and I was BLOWN AWAY by the talent. It's such a classy operation down to the smallest detail-- food, décor and comfortable seating. The way these singers engage the crowd made the night feel so special. This is a fantastic idea for date night, company holiday party or what a fun place to host your wedding rehearsal dinner! My face still hurts from laughing and I'm still humming some of those classic tunes!

Speakeasy experience in downtown Rapid City. Dinner theatre like you find in larger cities like Chicago, etc. intimate dining with delicious prime rib, and amazing, professional singing by a talented family of five. The variety of music offers something for everyone. I will go again and again.

My wife and I attended the Potter Family Christmas Dinner Show last night. I am not overstating when I say that we were absolutely blown away by the professional performances of these five family members. If you are having trouble getting into the Christmas spirit, this show is a must to see. Their choice of songs and the emotions that went with the songs as performed brought forth the reason we celebrate Christmas. The well placed humorous antics brought a smile or a laugh from everyone. Over the last 3-4 years, I have been privileged to talk with and become friends with the Potter family, and they are simply amazing. A very talented family who understand music and are blessed with amazing vocals, and a family who loves what they do and who they perform for nightly. This Christmas Show is a MUST see, as are ALL their performances! Amazing!

This is the Black Hills & Rapid City Entertainment at its best. A dinner theater? Now when is the last time that you were able to enjoy one of those, if ever? The Potters put on a very professional show! I enjoyed the Christmas show just last night. Stellar at the very least. Heavenly for sure. As a professional musician I can totally appreciate the work this group of dedicated performers has put into everything that they do. You will not hear better vocal performances anywhere. The shows are performed with pure LOVE of what they are doing! This is an experience that you don't want to miss, be it the Christmas show that is now being staged, or any one of the Potter performances. The Potter Family Theatre is a hidden Gem in downtown Rapid City. It is the best kept secret in Rapid City. Located in a historical location, an old pool hall known as the Hole has a unique feel as you watch this talented Family perform. The performance, singing with a particular era in mind is entertaining and has some light comedy included. I went to the Theatre the first time as a visitor because I was new to the area. Now, I am a regular and a fan. The singing that this family performs is outstanding. You will not realize you are in Rapid City when you see and hear this performance. The performance has an intermission so it allows for the opportunity to refresh your drink. They offer beer, wine, soda and water for a reasonable price. If you are searching for a full date night they offer a dinner and a show package that is awesome. The dinner includes Prime Rib and all the sides and then the show. Trust me you can’t go wrong!
