donaldson's finer chocolates

Bought a variety box of chocolates and some dark only in a small box. The milk chocolates are pretty sweet. I think next time I would just get plain bars . I usually buy for special occasions, so they have a good variety at that time. Pretty good for a local chocolate shop.

If you're making the drive from Chicago to Indianapolis on I 65, treat yourself to some chocolates at Donaldson's Finer Chocolates in Lebanon. Whenever we make this trip, we always look forward to a stop (except on Sundays when they are closed) to pick up some chocolates to nibble in the car. We also buy gift boxes for the folks we'll be visiting, and they welcome the gift. My favorite is the milk chocolate covered orange peel, but I'm also partial to the sea salt caramels, chocolate covered pretzels, and any of the bark flavors. My husband likes their sugar-free chocolates. Donaldson's is right off the expressway, so it makes for a quick stop. We always have trouble deciding what to buy, so it isn't so quick for us. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see them making candy in the back through a big glass window in the shop.
