The tour is a little over rated. There were a few nice covered bridges, but I wouldn't go out of the way to do it. Now Gravity Hill is worth it and since it's on the tour, do this. I found that to be really interesting and defies logic.

So few states still have covered bridges, and these are so close together. Worth seeing. Summer is great but the autumn foliage gives extra beauty to the area and the bridges. Don't miss!

We did not get a chance to visit the other bridges on the loop but found this one in our travels. Smaller bridge but very nicely built and over a pretty stream setting. We found this one by accident taking a different route.

There are 14 of these covered bridges in Bedford County and we saw five of them. Of these five, one was privately owned (Cuppett), so we couldn't get near it. Another was under construction and once the restoration is complete, it will be a beautiful bridge (Jackson's Mill). We enjoyed driving across and taking pictures of the other three. We enjoy the history of these bridges but probably seeing a half dozen is sufficient. Choose wisely. Also, the county puts out a great brochure on how to find all the bridges...make sure you get one before you go.

Interesting and fun. It was sad to see 3 of the bridges falling apart. The directions were laid out perfectly

Worth the trip. Nice to see some history still standing. We really enjoyed the changing of the leaves too. A side trip to Gravity Hill was also a plus even though it really isn't much, it is an experience! We found that a GPS is almost an necessity. We also found a nice, cute winery - Helixville. Worth the look & tasting experience.

If you are a covered bridge enthusiast you will love....too long and boring for me....after second bridge I was satisfied and ready to end the tour but hubby wanted to push on. They all for the mist part look alike just in different states of condition.

Well defined directions in the brochure booklet of how to drive the circuit of the beautiful covered bridges.

A group of us (motorcyclists) did the bridge loop in early July. The roads, for the most part, were "motorcycle friendly" (save one, which we could only see from the distance as were were not risking our cruiser motorcycles on the eroded hilly road leading too it). All in all, we enjoyed ourself thoroughly. The ride was great and the scenery was outstanding. Being a GPS and take the time to program it. Cuts down on getting lost (although it doesn't eliminate gravel roads though, which we motorcyclists tend to avoid).

This was a nice tour to do while stayin in Bedford Springs. The hotel we stayed at charged $85 for the tour. We looked up the tour online, printed out the driving directions and did it ourselves for free. Beautiful photo ops.

Really fun to do the covered bridges with the kids. Bedford Springs concierge gave us a really great map that was better than what we could find online. Great places for photos. Be careful if you walk in the stream by Kniseley Covered Bridge-I was walking along in lovely stream and my foot sunk in a hidden deep mud hole! Lost my shoe and couldn't find it again! Saw other people's shoes there, too! Glad I'm not the only one wandering around the loop with only one shoe. LOL

A side trip while on business in Bethleham, PA was the covered bridges. We were able to see all but one. the road to it was blocked, but in working our way around we enjoyed this beautiful part of the state. We were impressed with the evident pride the locals take in keeping their roadways and lawns in good condition. The bridges are a part of American history and are well preserved and protected. Thanks PA.

We found the brochure map difficult to follow and got lost several times. The bridges were nice, most you can drive across. They are all of the same style. That said, if you want to see great covered bridges, go to Park County Indiana. Their driving tour is second to none.

The covered bridges were wonderful. We visited Cuppetts and Colvins covered bridges. It was nice being able to walk on the bridges (even Cuppetts which was in bad condition and needed repairs)
