dobson antique toy and firehouse museum

We went while visiting the SSEdison. Very memorable and would strongly recomend you watch the video. Loved all the types in the cases.

Very well displayed - tastefully done. Each room carries along with it a story that is well told by owner Mr. Dobson, an elderly man with an interesting history including the fact that he was a professional clown for 30 years. Cost is 7.00 pp and collection is the largest in the world. If this type of thing interests you, don't miss the opportunity to view the facility.

A very nice personal collection of toys and firetrucks. The FDNY super pumper is the diamond of the collection. The only downside is the closeness of some of the apparatus. But well worth the trip to see.

This place is awesome. We spent almost two hours looking at the various toys and reliving some fond childhood memories. The kids loved to see the big firetrucks. They were even allowed to climb on a few. The air siren was very cool.

This is well worth the time to see the number of fire trucks and model fire trucks and Nascar vehicles. Sixty fire trucks including the worlds largest fire vehicle and 12,000 antique toys. It is further amazing that they were all bought by someone who was not a multimillionaire. Mr. Dobson was also a Shriner clown so his 1912 Model T clown car is also on display. I would not have known about the museum if not for the free trailer that is also full of fire truck models at the USS Edson ship museum.

This guy has carried the idea of "A boy & his toys" to the 'nth degree. He has Firetrucks, real & toy in all sizes, types & more. Room after room. We were with a tour that he was gracious enough to guide. Thank you Mr. Dobson!

Great museum for toy lovers and also anique fire trucks. Many connecting buildings with many new and old items. Owner on site to answer all your questions.

seeing the Super Pumper fire apparatus. The museum is nice but is very crowded. Hard to see apparatus that is diplayed.
