union county heritage museum

The folks at the museum know their stuff. The director is highly qualified and has done a fantastic job of telling the history of New Albany and Union County, Mississippi. Everything from an ancient tusk found nearby to the recent building of Toyota - you can see it all here at the museum.

I was impressed at the breadth of the displays and artifacts. They cover eons. I liked that you can get close to the exhibits and even walk in the old school house, store and doctors office. lots of interesting items for all ages.

We stopped here after visiting the welcome center and Joanne said we needed to come here. We really enjoyed the visit. Please stop in and see Gail and all her hard work she has been doing here.
