housatonic museum of art

It is a good small museum inside a college. When students want to take a break from the classes they surelly can surelly take a look at the art exhibits. It´s also open for the public.

This great little museum is part of Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport. It consists of separate gallery space (now featuring Pop! An exploration of pop art including several spectacular works by Andy Warhol and others.) In addition to the formal gallery space, the whole building, really, is a gallery as the vision of the founder of the museum is to allow students and staff to live amongst fine art, all the time. Even some of the classrooms contain original art. The public is invited to explore the galleries and the whole building, including the President's offices, all for free!
