A handsome building with lots of character, serving an array of library services and community events to the New Haven area. You'll have to find a parking spot on the street

The librarians vary a lot in their helpfulness.Some are glad to help one and others seem too reserved.

The New Haven Public Library is the best asset of city government. While the local historical collection is sometimes hard to access because oits only open at limited times, the library is a wonderful resource. The librarians are amazingly helpful . Our kids use the public library for many school research projects and I have also used their assistance in preparing a paper for delivery to a group. With the city's park system, the library is part of New Haven's crown jewels.

This library is up to date with the latest technology and has a wonderful selection of books, audio books, and just about anything you need or want from a library

The Main library downtown has a large selection of books that are easy to find. The branches are in convenient locations and also have a great selection and knowledgeable staff, but are not open convenient hours.

High ceilings, murals, a very impressive building and of course, lots of books!

Tuve la oportunidad de conocerla y no puedo traducir en palabras lo que es. Definitivamente, nunca había visto una biblioteca así. La ciudad, es como estar viviendo en una película de Harry Potter. allí fuimos al estudio de Cesar Pelli, arquitecto tucumano que hace proyectos increíbles. Fantástico!
