White Oak road Battlefield essentially is an action that took place in 1865 and marked a turn in the line defending Petersburg and the flank at Five Forks. The area provides a short but scenic walk and several interpretive signs detailing what took place. Nice spot for a quick stop to eat but not a lot there so maybe a good 30-45 minutes. The violence and audacity of the action there will stimulate you if your an avid Civil War buff. Besides, you need to swing in on your way to Five Forks in order to truly appreciate its effects on the outcome of that action.Happy travels.
