My husband and I visited here to use our Virginia Wine Pass. Emily was lovely, but we found the wines to be lacking for us as they were on the drier side. We ended up getting 3 of the same white wine at 25% off since their special was for 3 white wines (and was better than the 15% off we would have gotten with our wine pass.

This winery is really just there. It has nice deck to have picnic on that overlooks their vineyards which is nice. The wines are ok and the wine tasting girl was just ok as well, actually at times she was a bit condescending. This place really didn't leave much of an impression on me. I would go to other wineries in the area cause this one is just average.

Upon driving into the parking lot, we noticed the beautiful vineyard rows in front of us. The pathway to the tasting room was highlighted with lovely flowers and plants. The landscaping throughout is designed nicely and taken care of as well. The tasting room was beautiful with many flags hanging throughout and a few small sipping tables to relax and enjoy. They had very nice deck seating offering incredible views of their grounds as well. The hostess was VERY pleasant, explaining each pour, each wine and how they grew each style of grape. She also gave us a re-pour of one particular style we liked. She was clearly happy to be there and happy to have us!They offer a few very nicely done wines! We would hope they rank higher than a couple other wineries we've been to in this immediate area, as their prices are reasonable and the staff seems more accommodating than a larger winery on the other side of Rt211 with higher prices and sweeter wines.

We planned a weekend in the country and looked forward to hiking in the National Park. When the weather did not cooperate we changed our itinerary to wine tasting. We went to a couple vineyards in Rappahannock County; this one being our last stop. Definitely the best was saved for last. I felt very welcomed and relaxed as soon as we walked in. I am not typically a white wine person so I was surprised when I really enjoyed their whites, especially the Viognier. We enjoyed a bottle on the deck since the sun decided to show up and took a few home with us. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. We will definitely be going back!

A group of 10 came in for a tasting 1.5 hours before closing and were very impolitely told in very uncertain terms no, since they don't take groups larger than 6 without a reservation. I had called the weekend before to reserve a spot for us and no one called me back so, I assumed we would be ok. If they were swamped, we would have happily gone to another winery, but there were only four or five customers at the very large tasting bar (30 feet?). The staff was incredibly rude and did not elaborate why they couldn't work with us (break us up into two groups of 5?). It was our last visit of the day, so we might have even stayed and enjoyed a glass/bottle. In the end we went to another winery, Narmada, who was very accommodating in spite of a similar policy of only serving larger groups with a phone call, and we spent $425 there. Go there rather than gadino. I will never return to gadino cellars.

Incredibly rude service as we attempted to make a reservation and they never called back. So we went and they said they did not receive it therefore we were not welcome there. Completely unreasonable and would not accommodate even by splitting up the group as there were no people in the tasting room. I will never go back here and neither should you. AVOID!!!

visited several vineyards in the area and enjoyed all of them. Didn't play but they offered two bocce courts for visitors to use. Covered deck to sit and enjoy a bottle of decent wine. Bought a couple more to take home. We enjoy our wine so it has to be a good vineyard to make it worthwhile to purchase any to take home. Need to turn off the paved road to get there but worth the visit.

What a beautiful vineyard! The wine was wonderful and there were Bocci courts available for anyone who was interested. Great place!!

We really enjoyed the summer reds at Gadino Cellars, the Cabernet Franc was a hit with the whole party.

The wine is the best. The pours for tasting were on the light side but you do get a wine glass for the tasting fee. But if you buy three bottles the tasting is free - then you don't get a glass. They need to rethink this policy. We will visit again.

We went to Gadino Cellars over Memorial Day weekend 2014. The outside area was lovely - a wrap-around deck with tables and shade umbrellas for 2-4, then they had picnic tables on the lawn for larger groups. An even bigger group arrived in a bus while we were there, and long folding tables and chairs were set up for them on the lawn. All seating areas (deck, picnic tables, other) were spaced well apart, so you weren't on top of one another. They had a musician singing and playing guitar on Sunday, and he was great - huge range, and loud enough to hear but not to overwhelm conversation. The wines we tasted were great, especially the whites (pinot grigio and chardonnay) and the cab franc. We got a bottle to enjoy on the deck. They have a very limited food menu (large/small cheese platter, etc.), but seem fine with people who BYO food and enjoy it (with their wine) there. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming, and gave us a lot of great information about the vineyard's history. We arrived around 1:30 and had no wait for a tasting for 4 people. Tasting fee was $7, but it's waived (for one person) with the purchase of 3 bottles. There are also 2 full size bocce courts on the grounds - I assume they provide the equipment. Overall it's a smaller place (not some huge touristy tasting room) with good wine and a lovely venue.

This winery has some delicious wines to taste and a very welcoming staff. It is hard to leave without taking a bottle or three with you.

This is a small, family-run winery with good wine. The views are great, and they have two bocci courts, so you can enjoy a glass, or bottle of wine while playing a game or two. The staff is very friendlly and we will definitely return.

Very welcoming, small, family vineyard. Servers were very personable and did not just rush through the tasting. Thoroughly explained each wine and did not try to sell u on any particular wine. Very affordable and beautiful grounds. Good prices and overall great wine tasting experience! If u are going for a tasting u should stop in and give it a try!

The wines were fine, but not remarkable. The one we were were given in our tasting from their sister vineyard in Italy was downright awful! The server we had was very nice, but did not give a lot of information or tasting notes and the wines themselves overall were just in the middling to good range. The wine glasses were actually included with the tasting fee which was a very kind and thoughtful touch. It is a lovely property with seating outside and inside and a beautiful view, so if you are around feel free to take some time to relax with a glass and enjoy the scenery.
