Road construction on 39 has been going on for the last 2 years in the Pennington area and causing a major detour. Which they should mark it at the entrance to the Chippewa that there will be a dirt road detour, especially since we use trucks pulling boats. A lot of great lakes in the Chippewa, good hunting land, CCC camp is really interesting and the guide is very informative. We travel to Blackduck several times in a year to fish in the Chippewa and stay at the Drake, so we have also gone sightseeing on longer fishing trips and in the fall the Chippewa is about as pretty a place as you can find

This is an awesome place to visit & live. There is so much to see and do. Not so many people has you will find south of here. Much more wildlife and peace and quiet.

We actually live within the Chippewa Natl Forest - what can I say?We love the diversity of the trees; and watching the wildlife from our home. We aren't actually near the Cass Lake location you mention.

What a wonderful lake!!! The fishing is incredible and the unspoiled shoreline is as good or better than anything you will see in Canada. We love our time there, go every year to Tamarack Lodge. Beautiful cabins and great hosts. Can't say enough about the area. Just go and you'll know.
