purple sage golf course

Played the course today in a Realtor Scramble Tournament. The conditions were amazing. Greens lush and grass is green like no other, very well manicured. Ample irrigation water is clearly available to this municipal course! For the price this is a 5 star place. If you are looking for luxury clubhouse this is not it. It is simple and appropriate for the environment out in the country. Large clubhouse with lockers and showers. Older course with nicely matured landscaping and a fair amount of water hazards although wide fairways allow ample opportunity to keep your ball dry and out of trouble.

My husband and my son went last night to hit 9 holes. And he would not give us 2 buggies. He said, I'm too expensive to stay and wait for us to finish the 9 holes. However, he gave us a trolley as my bag is heavier and charged us for one. He was telling my husband that there was no business nowadays and people doesn't golf anymore. It doesn't surprise me! We could at least spent $50- 60 at least... I'm going to think twice going there to play after 7pm. The thing is, it's too hot to play on the day time during summer in Idaho. He just want to pack and leave the place.The first experience I had with this course was brilliant. But this one puts me off. Shame it's a nice, friendly staff and well maintained golf course.

I golf Purple Sage 1-2 times a week as my schedule and the weather allows. This is an older course with both easy and difficult holes. Expect the greens to be a little slow. The fairways are usually in excellent shape. Lots of trees (mainly pine) that can be hard to get through. The staff is very friendly and the have a small cafe that makes a decent sandwich. All in all a good place to go and they will allow 5-somes to play. Probably the least expensive green fees in the valley.

Very nice golf course. Lots of trees and very well maintained. We didn't have time to play golf, but the pro in the shop told us to take a cart around the course and check it out! Close to the freeway access far enough away to be perfect!

We had people hitting balls at us. Just missed one in our group of 4. When my husband yelled at them to be more careful they complained about us to the club. A guy came around with a timer! and timed us at about 3 holes before we finally asked what was the problem. We were then told we were backing up everybody. Nobody asked to go ahead of us. We ended up skipping a hole. It was not a fun experience. We always ask the people behind to play ahead if they get close to us but these guys just wanted to knock us out instead. It was not that great of a golf course. They were just rude to the "non-members". We will not go back there.
