We live in the area and love to take out-of-town visitors here. There are two floors of antiques, collectibles, memorabilia, shabby chic, other junque and treasures with over 60 dealers. Readers and recipe book collectors will be thrilled with the large number of books throughout the facility. It's fun to stroll and browse through at leisure. It's like a museum of yesterday's ways, practices, dreams, schemes, styles and decor. Most prices are reasonable and lower than in big cities. It is large enough to permit comparison shopping from booth to booth. While the individual booths do not have sales personnel present there is always helpful staff at the front desk. Not only is this ia favorite place for taking visitors to shop it can be combined with lunch at the in-store's sit down eatery, The Gathering Place. The lunch room is clean, bright and charmingly decorated, the food home made to order. Oh, and by the way, the locals also buy feed here and in the spring they buy garden seeds and tools. It's a fun place to go whether just reminiscing, buying rare uniques or eating a tasty hand prepared sandwich and dessert.
