mcgregor park riverwalk

this place is awesome. the riverwalk is a cool place to have a picnic with your family. this place is pet friendly. we love walking along the riverwalk and watching all the bardges go by. during the holiday they display a very enlightening display of holiday lights thats a total must see.

During each Christmas season the City puts up a great display of lights that is wonderfully enjoyed by young and old a like. The river walk is a very nice activity any time really but especially during the Holiday season.

The walkway was decked out with Christmas lights. The walk has several places to sit and there are places for summer time concerts. Very nice setup. I wish my city would do that. I met some unusual but very friend folk there,

The walking trail at McGregor park is really nice, and especially during the Christmas on the Cumberland. The light displays are well thought out and really nice.

Christmas on the Cumberland is a beautiful yearly attraction. Of course it doesn't compare to Opryland but it is wonderful. There is nightly entertainment on certain nights and other activities during the day such as crafts, etc. The displays of lights has something for everybody. It is easy to park and an easy walk, conducive to seniors as well as children, strollers, walkers, etc. There are several restaurants within walking distance such as O Charleys, Wendy's, and Church's Chicken. There are many other restaurants within one mile, easily accessible by car and free parking. Some of these are highly rated restaurants by Tripadvisor, such as Blackhorse Pub (specialty is pizza and lots of different brew), Catfish Restaurant #1, etc. etc. Local shop have a variety of items for all those on your holiday list with free parking. It is located in the historic section of town. McGregor Park is a wonderful place to walk or jog at any time during the year. A bonus is the new Clarksville Marina with Liberty Grill, a favorite of mine. Ok, so I sound like a Chamber of Commerce ad, but I am not at all connected with this agency or any others. I am a retired senior who is enjoying the good life with my husband. We appreciate delicious food and nice places to visit. Go and have fun!
