This is the best and longest bike trail in Knoxville and it is one of the best I have ever been on. Go all the way past Iams to the Forks in the River Industrial Park.

The Third Creek Greenway is one of my favorite sections of the Knoxville Greenway. My favorite route is to park in Earth Fare's parking lot, travel down through Tyson Park (great place to stop and take a playground break- if kids are in tow), during the spring/summer a ride alongside the UTK trial gardens is nice (turn right once you hit Neyland to access this area), ride through Volunteer Landing (nice fountains, swings over looking the river), and then head to downtown and enjoy a nice lunch/dinner at Market Square. If you are feeling up for a longer ride and/or want to make a day of a trip down to Ijams is a nice addition as well.

This greenway is very safe and clean. I've never had a bad experience on it. I have even biked to work before on it.

Beautiful and peaceful paved trail with wooden and concrete bridges.. Perfect for a quiet walk or a bike ride up and down slight hills.

Great Trail. Shaded on hot days. Great beginner trail. I have been on the trail 3 times and each time I have encountered friendly helpful bikers

Nice and quiet. Elevation changes are not too bad for Knoxville. Good parking available in Earthfare lot. Can go all the way to the UT Demonstration gardens along the creek.

We park at Earth Fare Bearden and take the greenway to Tyson park and back. The hills are soft and rolling, nothing too bad. Most of the trail is covered with shade which is great in the summer, but be cautious in the winter. Because there is so much shade, in the winter the trail tends to ice over in areas. It is paved the entire way making it great for strollers, bikes, or running. Its a easy 5 miles between Earth Fare to Tyson and back. If you are looking for more milage, you can keep going past Tyson and take it all the way to Neyland Drive. It follows the stream and makes for a peaceful trail. This is my daughters favorite greenway.

I enjoy parking at Earth Fare and riding downtown , or at least to Tyson Park and back. A few hills but pretty easy riding.

I sought out greeways for a safe way to use my bike and stay away from vehicle traffic and was rewarded with this gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Kingtson Pike and Sutherland Avenue. This greenway can be accessed about 5 blocks west of River Sports (on Sutherland) and Pilkay Road on your left. There is parking for about 10 cars. If you miss it and come to West High School turn around and venture back about a block. From this point you will be able to access the Bearden greenway segment or continue east and access Tyson Park or the Sequoyah greenways. The Sequoyah greenway will take you to Kingston Pike where you can cross it onto Cherokee Blvd and add a lot of miles. Return back to the Sequoyah Greenway and connect to the Tyson Park Greenway and work you way along the creek jeeping a watchful eye for river otters playing in the creek. You can exted your bike ride, walk or run by adding the myriad of UT greenway trails to this. By connecting them one can do in excess of over 20 miles with peaceful views. City of Knoxville does a wonderful job in path maintenance.

Parked at Ruth Chris Steak House and took Greenway to Neyland Stadium. A pretty good walk but pleasant. Runs along the river past the Vol Navy. If you park in the pay for parking area, the cost is $25.00 but you get a voucher for $25.00 off your dinner at Ruth Chris.

love that a good portion of it is shaded. would not run there alone at dusk or later, but otherwise feel totally safe. good couple of hills that break up the monotony

Just part of the nice network of greenways in Knoxville, which seem to be ever expanding. Enjoyable for a walk or bike, through the woods, neighborhoods, parks, along the creeks and river.

I rode on this greenway as part of a bike ride from Bearden Elementary School to the South Knoxville bridge. The trail itself is very nice and is used by many people and cyclists. They were doing some construction work near part of the trail and it was a bit dirty but that is understandable.

It's a nice bike trail. Not to hilly and you will see lots of turtles on the logs sunning. We go as far as UT gardens and that's worth a look at too.

This is a nice greenway that crosses several small creeks and has plenty of shade. Access is convenient and you have an option of stopping at a small shopping center at one end for a snack or something to drink before heading back. It makes for a nice afternoon and is friendly for walkers, bikers, and pets.
