Oldest such place in NYC. In process of renovation after years of abandonment, so be prepared for an old place. But worth the visit to see a performance space that must have been grand in its day.

Great history, two stages, undergoing a major renovation. Excellent art and very dedicated volunteers.

Apparently Hudson has a very colorful history so get a history lesson and take before pictures of the venue before some rich patron effects a what I hope is a revival and not a renovation. The light and colors of deterioration are worth a photo opt. There is a separate entrance from the street rent able meeting space. See ancient bank vaults in the walls.The first floor hall is a perfect exhibition space. Go for the history and the artists works on display. Check the website for activities open every day . There are stairs to the concert level and no elevator.
