matthewis persen house museum & cultural heritage center

its just an old house with some stuff to look at. I was bored out of my mind. more interesting things to do in kingston than go to the Persen house. go to the strand, more to do down there.

I enjoyed learning about the history of the house and its inhabitants. The docent was excellent. For those interested in NY State history, this house is worth visiting.

a friend and i were strolling in uptown kingston and paid a visit to this historic building.the college student manning the entrance provided a short informative tour of the building, which has been partially restored.this is a 17th century stone building that has had many incarnations and provides an interesting glimpse into local, regional, and american history.if you are in the area, definitely worth a trip.
