the one room school house

The One-Room Schoolhouse is very interesting. It used to be located in Summitt, Ky., but was relocated to Freeman Lake Park in Elizabethtown, Ky. in 1978 to undergo renovations, which started in 1980. The schoolhouse originally opened in 1892 with approx. 80-100 students. By the end of WWII, there were as little as 15. Unfortunately, the school closed in 1953. Now that it has undergone renovations, it looks GREAT! An awesome piece of history!
