Don't miss this little museum filled with history when you are in this area. The jail is quite interesting and our tour guides were very well informed and brought the little museum to life.

With a couple changes this could be a lot more interesting and fun. The guide for the old jail should more knowledgeable and out-going. The visitor should able to take pictures of friends behind those heavy bars. Again, could be more, now only so so...

Visited to see the old stone jail and was thoroughly pleased with our short tour of the jail and the attached building/museum. This place is full of history and if you're from the area they have many historical records there that you could look up your history.

A very outstanding Museum. Many, many of the records availible tell about my spouses family.

Visited the old jail. Lots to learn. I'd definitelt recommend this to family who look for learning experiences while also on vacation.

My daughter and I visited Franklin and were treated to a comprehensive tour of the old jail and museum, including a lot of information/history about Jim Bowie, who as everyone knows, was one of the heroes of the Alamo. Also of interest to us were the old court papers that have so meticulously been preserved, as we both work on the legal field. The historians in Franklin have done a wonderful job of preserving its history and a trip there is well worth it!
