rising sons home farm winery

We had wanted to go for awhile since it is just down the road from our house and finally stopped in a few weeks ago. The owner was doing the wine tasting and was very nice and helpful. They have jams and jellies also made from the wine and were very good.

After several distillery tours, a couple of us wanted something less potent. We Googled 'wineries near us' and Rising Sons popped up. Their website need work-the purple background was especially hard to read on a mobile device. But we ventured to the winery which sat on a scenic hilltop. Being fairly new, it is quite small, but full of local creations. There was a nominal fee for the tasting, but it included a wine glass to take home. Each wine was paired with a local cheese (yum) or chocolate (more yum.) She also gave us tips for making 1-glass sangrias with different varieties. We each left with a bottle or two and were happy we made the stop.
