Small but with some fascinating stuff in an historic building. Well worth a visit if you are nearby.

Interesting museum and nice location. Good displays and information on Abraham Lincoln and his family. Be sure to stop by when in Springfield, Ky.

Springfield is a dot on the map, but it is such a historic little town. Our 16th president's parents were married in the courthouse in which this museum is located. It is set up nice and enjoyed the interactive media there about Honest Abe. The information with pictures provide an interesting look into his life that many are not aware of. I would tell you about it here, but that would ruin the surprise! There are Lincoln Logs for the little ones to play with while parents look around. If for some reason you find yourself in Springfield, this is worth a stop for an interesting history lesson.

After all the raving reviews of the museum, we were excited to see it. We went on a Saturday morning and waited until 11:20 for it to open. We did get a "free" view of it through the window and I am sure we would have enjoyed it. We called the phone number given and never received a return call. The unexpected bright spot on our visit to Springfield was the Farmer's Market.
