It's a huge park mostly used for soccer and baseball. They do have a small kids area with swings and slides. I don't recommend coming here to use the kids play area when games are being played because it is crazy trying to drive in and find parking. They have gotten better with labeling all the soccer fields though.

Great place to walk. Good free parking. Good location. Busy area. Pretty area. Not far from shopping and eating places.

This park is the site of the largest concentration of local Baseball/ Softball fields and also include batting cages. Additionally, there are a number of fields that serve the local Youth Soccer and Football Leagues.

Park appears to br aging and in need of a facelift. Not much happening here except baseball and soccer. They have lots of tournaments and draw a decent amount of traffic to area.

The grounds are well kept by the city of Madison, The tournaments or regular seasions are all very orginized. The city should be proud of Palmer Park

Palmer Park in Madison is a city park, not a real tourist attraction. My wife and I drove through it about lunchtime on a school day. It appears to be there primarily to provide a very good place for organized sports for school-age youth. There are also some picnic tables, and a playground for little folk. Palmer Park Facility includes youth baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields, football fields, concession buildings with restroom facilities, four pavilions, batting cages, and a playground designed with ADA accessibility. Parking appears somewhat limited. I guess they expect some of the teams arrive on a school buses, and not every field to be in use at the same time.
