水晶桥美国艺术博物馆

水晶桥是美国最有影响力的新博物馆,是根据沃尔玛的创始人Sam Walton唯一的女儿也是最小的孩子Alice Walton的想法建造的。Walton小姐是艺术爱好者,数十年来一直收集美国艺术品。这个巨大建筑里陈列着她搜集的美国艺术家的最具标志性画作。令人觉得讽刺的是,这个博物馆坐落于美国偏远而又富有乡村风情的地区,阿肯色州西北部。有了这个不可思议的美国家庭的成功和慷慨才有了这样的一座博物馆,一定要看看这个免费的博物馆。快来水晶桥参观吧!

这家博物馆的外形设计的非常棒,而且里面的收藏品也非常值得看。Andrew Wyeth,Norman Rockwell,Thomas Hart Benton和Andy Warhol,这些人都是一群很棒的美国艺术家们——还有其他艺术家。咖啡馆里的食物非常棒,地板很漂亮!玩儿的开心哈!

沃尔玛家族将这座新博物馆捐赠给了Bentonville市,门票免费,特殊展品也供免费参观。博物馆由Moshe Safdie设计,非常漂亮。博物馆与Ozark Valley完美地融合在一起。停车之后从第三、四层坐电梯,然后到楼下看Colonial展厅,有19世纪早期、末期和现代绘画。展品非常漂亮,都是美国绘画大师的杰作。这里有独立战争前的作品,还有现代作品。这里允许拍照,也可以绘画,只是不能使用闪光灯。这里有几条走廊也非常漂亮。有条走廊旁边还有雕塑。另外,进大楼后左转的话就是展厅。在Moshe Safdie还有演出。博物馆还有一家自助式午餐厅,提供三明治、卷饼和沙拉。这家餐厅有几天也提供晚餐。我们去那儿时客人非常多。这座博物馆真是棒极了,为Bentonville增色不少,非常值得一游。只需要花几小时或一天时间。以后我们还会再去欣赏这里的一些绘画,并且在景色优美的走廊散步。

这里实在是太棒了,原因也是不胜枚举,美国艺术的代表作实在是非常精美,而且陈列很漂亮。博物馆的建筑算是市区里面规模比较大的了。博物馆的绿化也很棒,周围有很多小径,其中一些通往室外的雕像。小径还可以通往Compton花园,让希望户外观光的人快乐加倍。再远一点就是Bentonville镇广场了,那儿有很多不错的餐厅。感谢沃尔玛的捐助,门票是免费的,实在是无可挑剔。如果你在这个区域,一定要过来看看。如果你的行程很灵活,建议里早点去错开人群。

沃尔顿家族送给阿肯色州一颗在莫非斯堡直接挖掘到的钻石。读了《华尔街日报》上各种热点报道,我们决定周末的时候穿越阿肯色州的波士顿山区到水晶桥艺术博物馆,去阿肯色州本顿维尔的沃尔顿家族的家乡看看。来到这个美丽的博物馆,叫人眼界大开,这里收藏了各种美国艺术家的艺术作品,麦克斯菲尔德和帕里什格鲁吉亚奥基夫的作品都能看到。博物馆周围的环境静谧安逸,树木环绕,与阿肯色州的自然环境和谐地融为一体。沃尔顿家族为阿肯色州所作的一切具有深远的意义,甚至对整个美国而言都有不可估量的积极影响,这个地方无疑在很大程度上推动和促进了美国各种艺术的发展。门票是免费的,除了欧洲之外,在美国也能带着家人一起来欣赏艺术大作。小餐厅风情十足,提供简单而美味的食物。吃点点心,喝点咖啡或红酒,从大窗户望出去,到处都是优美迷人的风景。这个博物馆是对阿肯色州的一大贡献,虽说在规模上无法与世界上的知名博物馆相提并论,但它自有其风格,这栋建筑的独特性来自沃尔顿家族的慷慨大方。他们的亲力亲为让人欣赏和感叹。开放自己的思维,好好去感受吧,不要期望Renoir那种东西,这儿是阿肯色州的另一颗炫目的钻石。

People come from far away to go to this museum. The building alone is amazing. Entrance to the permanent collection is free. One of the best American Art collections anywhere... earliest pieces dating back to 17th century. Headphones for self-guided tour are free. Fee for the rotating collection was $10. Lockers available for free. Seating available throughout. Nice but limited selection in the 11 restaurant and the view is outstanding.

This is a very cool facility in a very cool setting. They provide a lot of opportunity for interactive experiences with art, most fitting for children and adults. There is no admission charge, just donation recepticles if you can contribute.

I was traveling to this museum since my company sponsors the admission there. Beautiful museum of art. The food is made to resemble the art and the dining area looks amazing. I personally didn't think the food was worth the money, but that's just because I'm not into things like this except every once and a while.

This museum is amazing. The architecture and the setting are truly outstanding and somewhat surprising for the area. Much of Arkansas is rural with many natural tourist attractions, but the Crystal Bridges Museum is work of art in itself. The art collection is impressive also. The American art tells the story of our country from its beginning to today. I think it is most beautiful in the fall or spring, but a visit anytime is fun.

A variety of art and much larger than we expected.Price charged for viewing special showing Van Gogh etc.was only $10 all other areas free!! It's an all day excursion.

Always an exceptional experience, this time the Van Gough traveling exhibit was the best. The lunch on site was good and staff as always, friendly, and ready to assist. We have here in the NorthWest Arkansas a first class art treasure

Fantastic, world class museum. If you are in Bentonville make a point to visit. The location is also amazing.

american Art comprises the collection covering the history of the country. Wandering through is a pleasure. Lovely grounds with paths for enjoyment

This is one of the most beautiful man-made locations in America.Sure, it runs from money by the walmart family but it still is a great place to visit in Arkansas.The forest area right by the museum is beautiful and it leads up into the museum which is also remarkable.This area has lots of fun things to do for tourists.I would definitely come here again and most of all, its FREE!

While birthed just a few years ago, Crystal Bridges is one of the finest, most innovative, and fun museums in the entire US. It is beautiful, it is free, it is totally enjoyable. This past January they had a number of interactive exhibits, exhibits that made you question, exhibits that made you laugh, one even had us dancing --Crystal Bridges catches your eye and your intellect at every turn. We have been in the winter and summer, and highly recommend the summer. The outside walks, exhibits, plantings, are not to be missed. Neither, by the way, is lunch in the museum. It was locally sourced, unique, delicious, and very reasonable. And, please don't miss the town square and the original office of Sam Walton....it will not disappoint..
