den rock park

My folks live not-too-far-from here. It's reasonably well maintained, quiet and under-utilized. I've been in the spring, summer and fall and am always struck by how easy it is to forget that there are walking-about options when I visit...

Walked around this park ...not worth the time...trails are 'iffy'; park is small, but with some nice granite out cropping. Just about a boring if your looking for a nice, easy to navigate and pleasant experience.

This little park is close to shopping centers and the Showcase Cinema. Take 30 minutes and have yourself a nice, little walk, with no obstacles. You will think that you are in the woods and it is easy to forget that the traffic is just minutes away. There is some evidence that people have been sleeping in the woods, but this just makes it more interesting.

Lots of nature, beaver dams, rocks, water etc. Good inclines for vigorous walking. A jewel in the urban monstrosity which is Lawrence. Check it out!
