It's a spacious center with multiple theaters and performing halls. Every seat is a good seat. The box office staff seems to be students from the university. They are a great bunch.

Easy parking, nice lobby. Would be nice if they had a beverage center for intermissions but otherwise very elegant and intimate venues for music, plays and other performances

Located on the north campus of U of MD in College Park, this is a first rate facility. Year round performances vary widely in its offerings. that's a good thing.

The Clarice Smith is an extraordinary cultural resource in College Park, Maryland. It's performances are varied -- covering the gamut from puppet theater, to dance, to chamber music. The performances are superb, as good or better than those shown at the Kennedy for several times the price, Parking is convenient.

Its a 'not so' hidden treasure of College Park area. Housed in University of Maryland campus this centre is huge with several world class theatre and performing stages. The performances are also of superior quality and costs much less than DC. Some are even free.. We enjoyed a free concert of game orchestra recently... Yes a full fledged orchestra containing 100 talented musicians.. I don't think anything can beat that!

It is very conveniently located with different big and small theaters. There is plenty of free parking on weekends and is a great small venue.

The University of Maryland is one of the top ten music schools in the United States. Stellar professors like Ed Maclary and Delores Zieglar and Dominic Cossa and Linda Mabbs (among many others) and the advantageous proximity to Washington makes this school a strong choice for serious musicians. The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center is magnificent.

We got to see Harry Belafonte! Awesome and unplanned concert! UMD campus was beautiful and not unlike a small city in a city. We went on campus just to see if there were any plays or concerts while we were in town and jumped at the chance to see the concert and hear the legendary Mr. Belafonte narrate.

I am a graduate student from UMD's Dance program (TDPS). To put it short and sweet, this venue is where all of my performances from college were held. It is a gorgeous theatre/building, and professional high-paying performances are here. There is a DIVERSE line up of performances in different areas of the arts throughout the year. Dance collaborations with music and theatre- we have it all. Check out the courses offered here and performances daily and on weekends..

This performing arts center is a great showcase for students, faculty and visiting artists. I have seen, as well as participated as a piper, many interesting live performances. Admission prices are normally relatively small.

Generally, great music, theater, and dance performances at inexpensive prices. A Midsummer Night's Dream was a collaboration between the University of Maryland Theater Department and the Beijing Chinese Opera school. Much of the play was done in the style of Chinese Opera, with interesting staging and costumes.

Performing arts center is wonderful. Great that is on a college campus. I've seen several shows at Smith and they have all been excellent. Of course, my granddaughter is a theater major so my view may be influenced by that fact. Even so, that facility is great.

When we think of performing arts in the DC area, it is so easy to think (myopically) about the Kennedy Center. The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center in College Park, on the campus of the University of Maryland, is a venue for wonderful performances of all types at prices that won't break your budget!

Excellent programs with student musicians. Their performance is outstanding! Most of the programs are free.

В основном здесь проходят студенческие концерты, по воскресеньям в 14 они бесплатные. А целом цена 10$ для студентов и 25 $ для остальных. Залы хорошие, со всех мест хороший обзор сцены.
