If you are into vintage aviation, this is a great place to visit and learn. It's hard to believe that there was ever anything but jets, but you can learn about what existed before.

Planes stripped of engines sitting out in the weather. Hmmm. I've been to lots of air museums, and this is more like a parts bin.

Saturday and Sunday April to November a group of people who have more love than money let you into their world. Like aviation? History? Old Vets? This is the place. They pour their hearts into this museum. No money but what walks in the door. Old pilots, aircrew man, maintenance people, They will charm you with their stories and let you into their world for a while. These folks bust their butts with no money to bring history alive. It may not be the Smithsonian, but it is a museum. If it's not as polished as you like, join them. You may learn more than you want and you may get dirtier than you want, but you'll sleep good.

Skeletons of airframes on bales of straw. I stop by airplane museums and have been very impressed by the Richmond, VA, Camarillo, CA, Boeing Museum. The Museum of Science and industry has a wider range. This is obviously a private collector that has managed to obtain an number of weathered airframes. Check to see if it is open, because most of the time when I drive by the place is closed.
