We spent 2 wonderful weeks at River's Edge Cottages near Vergennes. During our stay Vergennes Day was held and it was a terrific experience. The Opera House was opened up and various performers gave a show. What a lovely building. Can't wait to go back and catch another performance at this gem in Vermont.

We attended a fund raiser here and were very impressed with their renovated facilities, supportive staff and wonderful ambiance.

This historic opera house was lovingly restored several years ago by local citizens in Vergennes and surrounding towns. It features events from nationally-known performers as well as local talent. The acoustics are renowned. For a very small ticket price, you can experience some wonderful performances and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

We go there for numerous performances. Old, traditional Vermont Opera House seating about 200. Intimate, with new air conditioning. Good acoustics. Love their old movie series.

I attended a concert here in the summer of 2009 and was struck by what a wonderful space it was. A friend and I were passing through and saw that a favourite singer/songwriter, Richard Shindell, was playing and seized the opportunity to see him. The Opera House was a super location for him--not too large to lose the intimacy, but big enough that plenty of people could attend. It's a historic building that has been fortunately preserved and beautifully restored, and it's a joy to see a community rescue a wonderful performing arts space like this.

The Vergennes Opera House on Main Street Vergennes is truly a gem. It offers a great variety of performing arts all set in a late 1800's Opera House. Great seats, great acoustics, great and friendly support staff. Highly recommended for a show or concert.
