Yogaworks is an evil corporation that is out to take your cash solely. Health and wellness? Pshaw! Their membership practices focus on fine print gotchas (you must cancel by the 15th, even if your membership is on hold, and you prepay first and last, so you can lose your last month payment as well). NO DROP IN CLASSES, MEMBERSHIP ONLY HERE.Can you expect awkward meetings with pushy sales guys? Absolutely. Plan on EVER leaving? Budget in a couple hundred extra bucks. These are the same practices EXACTLY that lost a class action suit against 24 hour fitness. And yet they continue to do it here while they espouse about their great concern for your health and wellness.Need yoga? Oh, you will by the time you get your bank statements back. I suggest going somewhere else.

I'm not an expert. So this was tough. Too much for me. But the place is nice, the people sweet and the instructors care. Best to be a regular.

It's a come as you are kind of place where every person who walks in the door is treated with respect.

I've been a YogaWorks Regional member for over 7 years, but mainly practiced at the Santa Monica studios. The El Segundo location is much closer to my office and is conveniently located in El Segundo Plaza.Of the Westside locations the El Segundo studio is the newest so it has lot of amenities that some of the original studios (Main St., Montana, and CFY- Larchmont) do not have. The studio is quite large with 3 different practice rooms and a spa-like atmosphere. As soon as I walk into this studio I already start to relax! There is a little yoga shop with everything from mats to the latest yoga/ lounge wear, books and DVDs. They offer a free tea / water bar. The locker rooms are a good size with digital lockers, multiple shower stalls (shampoo, conditioner, body wash in each stall) , changing area, separate bathroom / shower area and free towel service. The quality of teachers here is very good (although they don't have as many "famous" yoga teachers as they do at the Santa Monica / Larchmont locations), but because they have their own teaching program, there is a consistency among the teaching staff. However, some teachers are just better than others and I recommend trying different teachers (and styles of yoga) to find one that best suits you. I'm of a big fan of David Lynch, Jocelyn Kay Lee, Chappell Westlake's classes. The El Segundo location also offer lots of other classes besides yoga, which is great. I've tried Barworks, Sculptworks, Danceworks, and TRX and all of these are great workouts. Pros: LOTS of classes to choose from from early in the morning til about 9pm, HIGH quality of teachers, free parking, spa-like atmosphere, Cons: Evening (5pm on) classes can be quite crowded, but that is typical in gyms and other studios too, Class sizes really fluctuate particular when they run Groupon, Living Social, etc...type deals.

Ignore the crabby lady at the front desk if you happen to go there on a day that she's working. She can be really snarky even when she's wrong, but will never apologize. Apparently she thinks she is really special for practicing yoga longer than everybody else. Yawn. The other front desk staff are better; and it won't matter once you are inside the class. So far, all the teachers have been great. They aren't just going through the motions treating yoga like a sport. I've never cared for classes where people show off their yoga moves like it was gymnastics. All the teachers seemed to be really in tune with wellness and a positive spirit. They have bathroom and shower facilities, towels, lockers, hot tea, and water.
