garland symphony orchestra

My wife and I have enjoyed attending GSO concerts for a little over a year. Not being music scholars but enthusiastic music lovers, we have heard everyday classics to unknown gems and new favorites. The best part is the quality of the performance in a medium sized hall, a very special setting for a full orchestra, almost intimate. What pulls it all together, though, is Maestro Austin's introductions to each piece, with history and insight and humor. it would be the same feeling as sitting in his living room to hear a string quartet. A wonderful evening every time!
